Shifting Cargo

Ramey has to pull his life together or he’ll risk losing the best thing that has ever happened to him.

Ramey’s world is shattered when his brother dies suddenly. He tries to go through the motions, day by agonizing day, doing the best that he can at his job, but it’s not enough. Months of depression escalates into alcohol use and drug abuse to numb the pain. For the past year, he’s been dreading meeting with his lawyer and accepting his brother’s death. The pain becomes too much to bear and Ramey is caught with cocaine at work and fired immediately. When he hits rock bottom, he realizes that he’s disrespecting his brother’s memory and checks himself into rehab with the help of an unlikely friend.

Londyn’s life is perfect living as a wolf Shifter in the Pack Lands. He’s been working in the family business and happy living in his cabin in the woods. Londyn has high expectations for the perfect mate to make his life complete.

Can Ramey accept his destiny as a Shifter’s mate? And is his love for the wolf Shifter worth leaving behind the demons and the only world he’s ever known?

This is the first book I’ve read by Tina Blenke, and I’m hoping to read more in the future. Shifting Weight is a fun and quick read. Jason is adorable in his fumbling attempts to flirt with Eric. The line about being cuddle monsters gave me a good “aww!” moment. However the scene where Jason jokes about what he told his mom about Eric is hysterical.

4 Stars - Molly Lolly

I enjoyed that Jason and Eric ‘dated’ for weeks (in Shifting Weight) before Jason and Eric had the talk about what Jason truly was. That during that time they just held hands or kissed. It wasn’t until they both understood and realized who each other as they became sexual. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Athan's Kiss is the first book I've read by Tina Blenke and it won't be my last. I really loved her unique and sexy characters and I found the story itself was both interesting and fast-paced.

If you're looking for a well-written, paranormal romance with plenty of action, mystery and intriguing characters, then Athan's Kiss is definitely the book for you! Highly Recommended!
